Success is a bad teacher. It makes my head spin. It is unreliable. A business plan or the latest technology, the pinnacle of perfection today, may be as hopelessly obsolete tomorrow as eight-track tape recorders, televisions on electronic tubes, or mainframes. I watched closely as this unfolded. Watching a lot of companies long and closely helped me learn some good lessons, taught me how to plan years ahead.
